Chinese Cabbage

Chinese Cabbage

Chinese cabbage is part of the Brassica family and is very tolerant to cold weather, making it ideal to grow during the autumn/winter months. The variety grown at Hexhamshire Organics is called Kaboko, and we look to sow it in July and August before transplanting in September. The Chinese cabbage produces long, crunchy leaves which are delicious in salads or stir fried dishes.
