Turnips

The turnip is a favourite here at Hexhamshire Organics, to both grow and eat. It’s part of the brassica family of vegetables and whilst similar to swede, it’s a lot smaller and has a much milder taste. The varieties we grow are called White Globe and Milan Purple Top. Turnips are rich in vitamins and minerals.
