Garlic

Garlic is one of our favourite crops to grow. All of our garlic is planted before Christmas and it’s great at withstanding even the harshest of winters. Not long after planting begins, it starts to set down its roots and green shoots can be seen emerging from the soil very quickly. By mid-summer it’s ready to harvest, and the whole crop is harvested in one go. We then store the bulbs in a dry and airy place to allow them to mature for a few weeks - once ready we have a great crop of garlic which is available for many months.
